Sources: Campaign Monitor list prices in USD, billed monthly, from its pricing page on October 4, 2026. Constant Contact's pricing page blocked automated checks that day, so its plan prices and send limits come from a search snippet of that page and are labelled as such; its trial, refund, automation, and support details come from its own knowledge base and support pages. Constant Contact also raised prices for existing customers on August 2026 invoices, so older figures you find elsewhere may be out of date. The Trustpilot row counts only reviews Trustpilot labels organic (written without a link or invitation from the company), from our pull that day; samples are small and the windows differ. Constant Contact's G2 figure comes from G2's search listing. More on our methodology.

Campaign Monitor vs Constant Contact on price and sending limits

At 500 contacts the comparable plans sit close together: $31 a month for Campaign Monitor Essentials, and from $35 for Constant Contact Standard. The difference is in how much you can send. Essentials has unlimited sends. Constant Contact Standard allows 12 times your contact count, according to the same pricing-page snippet.

Campaign Monitor publishes self-serve prices at every list size: Essentials is $74 at 2,500 contacts and $182 at 10,000, and annual billing takes 10% off. The price rises with list size. For Constant Contact above 500 contacts, get a quote from its pricing page, since existing customers saw a price change in August 2026. Our Campaign Monitor pricing page has every tier.

Automation on Campaign Monitor and Constant Contact

Constant Contact sets automation limits by plan. Lite runs 1 active automation path and Standard runs 3, all built from its templates. Custom paths and ecommerce path templates are on Premium only. Lite also has no scheduling or A/B testing and allows one user.

Campaign Monitor includes prebuilt journeys on every paid plan. On Lite, automated emails count against the monthly send limit; Essentials and Premier make them unlimited. Its automation is simpler than some power users want; if branching logic and lead scoring are central, look at our Campaign Monitor vs ActiveCampaign comparison.

Agencies and support

Campaign Monitor is built to run email for other businesses. Each client gets a sub-account under the agency login, clients can log in to their own campaigns, the app can carry the agency's branding in place of Campaign Monitor's, and the agency can add a markup to each client's bill. These are on Lite, Essentials, and Premier. Constant Contact has a partner program with an umbrella account and client sub-accounts; it does not publish a white-label option for email.

“Campaign Monitor has an excellent agency plan that lets you run campaigns on clients’ behalf while keeping the billing and branding under your control.”Anum R., G2, Apr 2026

On support, Constant Contact has the wider reach: phone and chat on every plan, with phone lines open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm ET and Saturday 10am to 6pm ET. Campaign Monitor puts phone support on Premier. Its reviewers rate the support team highly, and G2 named it Best Support (Small Business) for Fall 2026 (see awards).

“That ease of use is backed up by solid customer support (including actual phone support), plus reasonable pricing with nonprofit discounts.”Hardik B., G2, Sep 2026
