Campaign Monitor's 18 span January 2023 to September 2026; Klaviyo's 49 span November 2025 to September 2026. The windows differ and Campaign Monitor's sample is small. G2 figures are each product's overall rating and review count on G2.

What each one is built for: newsletters and clients, or an online store

Campaign Monitor is a general email platform. Reviewers use it for newsletters, member updates, and client work at agencies, and they praise the drag-and-drop builder, clean templates, and per-campaign reports. It also sends transactional email from the same account, and Campaign Monitor reports an average 99% delivery rate.

Klaviyo is built around store data. Its paid plan adds predictive analytics and generative AI for segments, content, flows, and images. About a quarter of the 50 G2 reviews in our pull mention Shopify by name.

“I like that Klaviyo is built for e-commerce and integrates really well with Shopify.”Marc D., G2, May 2026

That focus cuts the other way for businesses that don't sell online. A few lead-generation and B2B reviewers in our pull say the setup and the metrics assume a store.

“As a non-direct-to-consumer website, it would be helpful if Klaviyo were better tailored to that model so we don’t have to see metrics like 0 sales, 0 transactions, and similar data that isn’t relevant for us.”B D., G2, Apr 2026

Campaign Monitor vs Klaviyo pricing: per-profile price against the send cap

Klaviyo has one paid email plan. It costs $20 a month at 500 active profiles, $60 at 2,500, and $150 at 10,000, and each tier includes sends up to 10 times your profiles. Unsubscribed and suppressed contacts don't count toward the bill. SMS is billed separately.

Campaign Monitor Essentials costs $31, $74, and $182 at the same sizes, with no monthly send cap. If you email each contact fewer than 10 times a month, Klaviyo costs less. If you publish a daily or several-times-a-week newsletter to a large list, the uncapped plan is worth pricing out. For a small list with modest sending, Campaign Monitor Lite starts at $13 a month for 500 contacts and 2,500 emails. On either product, the price grows with your list.

Agencies and support: Campaign Monitor has both on the price list

Campaign Monitor puts client sub-accounts and private labeling on Lite, Essentials, and Premier, so an agency can run every client under one login with its own branding and add a markup to each client's bill. Klaviyo lets an agency user switch between client accounts that invite them and runs a partner program for referrals. It publishes no sub-account billing or white label.

Campaign Monitor holds G2's Best Support badge for small business (Fall 2026, see awards) and offers phone support on Premier. Klaviyo lists chat with its support team, a community, an academy, and a growth success team. It publishes no phone support.
